Two children will be chosen by the teacher to dress up in a firefighter’s kit, the Community Education Officer will link in the safety aspects of the kit with children’s safety clothing i.e importance of wearing helmets and when, importance of wearing high viz clothing and when. This links into People who helps us and Safety.

Community Education Officer will provide workbooks to the children after the lesson to retain the message of “Don’t touch matches and tell a grown up”. The workbook has been devised with the PSE curriculum and Literacy and Numeracy Framework.
