What does the project entail
Pupils with consent take part in supervised toothbrushing, once during the school day.
Also carried out on the school premises are non invasive caries prevention treatments such as, topical fluoride application and fissure sealants.
The team provides dental health education sessions and teaching resources e.g. Age related PowerPoint presentations, mouth models, work sheets, puppets, healthy eating chef

How do the pupils directly benefit?
Curriculum links at key stage 2 to PSHE as well as literacy and numeracy through worksheets and presentations.

The schools we are involved with have our details; in line with programme policy we are at this stage unable to offer ‘one off’ lessons if the schools are not involved in the D2S prevention programme. However we can lend teaching resources, tel: 01792 301098.
